Thank You!!

Day Eleven

I am thankful for those who are currently, have served, or are going to serve our country. I also want to say I am thankful for all of those families for their sacrifice and for allowing their sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, grandfathers, grandmothers, etc.  to serve and fight for our freedom.

THANK YOU!!!!!!

Day Twelve

I am thankful for days that I have off of school. I only go four days a week but it is always nice to have a holiday off. I am also thankful for days when I do not have to go to school and I can sleep in and not have to worry about waking up early or going to bed early enough so I can wake up early enough.

Day Thirteen

I am thankful that I get to serve along side a wonderful lady named Miss Jonnie in the Caravan program at my church. She is a wonderful lady who has a heart for children and serving the Lord. She has had a few health problems but she is still doing what she loves. She is a teacher at the YMCA where I live and she helps with the go-getters at my church. She was a Sunday School teacher with the Kindergartners at my church but now she just helps with the go-getters. I had her as a Sunday School teacher so it is fun to get to be a co-teacher with her. I have really enjoyed getting to know her better as well.

Day Fourteen

This may be silly but I do not care. I am thankful for candy. Yesterday, I bought some candy from the store. Buying candy is kind of a big deal for me because I do not buy candy very often. I get enough sweetness and sugar from soda and chocolate that I sometimes eat. I am twenty-two years old and I say you are never too old for candy.

I know I have not been blogging as much as I said I would but hopefully I will be able to post more over this weekend. I have not been doing some most of the things on my list in a previous post but during my breaks on this past Tuesday and Thursday, I have been able to read The Inheritance by Louisa May Alcott.

I will be posting tomorrow. You can hold me accountable for it. If I do not post this weekend, you can blow up my comments with strong words of encouragements and nice comments to let me know you care about what I have too say.

Well that is it for this post. Look for a posting tomorrow. I do not know what time yet, but there will be a posting.

Love you all.

Gratefulness

On Facebook, there are people posting what they are thankful for each day for the month of November. I am late in starting this but I will post up to now what I am thankful for and will post each day for the rest of November, Lord willing I do not get too busy.

Day One

I am thankful for my faith. I am thankful for Gods love and he loved me so much that he sent his son to die on the cross for my sins. I am thankful that I am a child of God.

Day Two

I am thankful for my family. Although there are days when they annoy me and I get irritated with them, I am grateful to have family that loves me and cares for me. I am thankful for all the times we have spent laughing together, crying together, teasing each other, and just being there for each other.

Day Three

I am thankful for all of God's blessings. I am thankful for food, my clothing, my home, and there are lots of other things I am thankful for but I can't list them all.

Day Four

I am thankful for my mother. My mom is the best person in my life. She is always there for me and she is more than a mother for me.  She is my comforter, my friend, my counselor, my provider, my encourager, and of course we have many moments where we can quote dialogues from our favorites shows and movies and just laugh and laugh.

Day Five

I am thankful for times I get to spend with my niece and nephew. Although they can drive me crazy, and I can loose my patience with them, I love them and I will always be there for them. They are great kids and I can't wait to see what young people they grow up to be.

Playing with my niece.

Day Six

I am thankful for my church. I have been going to my church for about fifteen years and I cannot see myself going anywhere else. I have thought about trying out other churches but I have a hard time thinking about going anywhere else.

Day Seven

I am thankful to be a member of bible study fellowship international. I have been a member of bsf for four years and it has been such a great encouragement to me. It has gotten me into reading the bible more and furthering my walk with the Lord Jesus Christ. I have also come to know great godly women who are great role models for me to look up to.

Day Eight

This may sound weird but I am thankful for the sunshine after a time of cold weather. I love how clear the sky is after a rainy time in the weather. It is nice to stand in the warm sunshine after being cold. Usually I am not a fan of hot weather but with it being the time of year when it gets colder and especially cold at night, it is nice to be warm and not shivering.

Day Nine

I am thankful for the love my church shows when someone looses a member of their family. Recently a lady from my church past away after having a stroke and heart attack and blood clots possibly due to infection from bacteria from insulin injections because she has diabetes. There was allot of people at her funeral yesterday and there was alot of people she touched and encouraged over her time her on earth. Rene was a great example of a godly lady who took care of those around her. She is such an encouragement to me an I am sure she encouraged others.

Day Ten

Today I  am thankful for my education. I am thankful to be educated and I am thankful that there are people who encourage me when I tell them about my career goals.

Well that is all for now. Sorry that i have not been posting. I got really busy with school studying for two tests. Hopefully, Lord willing I will have more time to post daily like I originally planned.

God bless you all.

November blogger party

Hello.

For the month of November and maybe December, I will be hosting my own blogger party. This blogger party will include me posting (or at least trying to post) everyday.

I will include my goals, the happenings of my life on a daily basis, and what my family does for the holidays.

To begin with I will share my Goals.

The Goal List:
read my library books.
This entails reading all of the books I got from the library before Thanksgiving. Having this as on of my goals will inspire me to read more and not watch television as much. I also have the bad habit of getting four five library books and not reading all of them of any of them so this will be the motivation I need to actually read them.
Do my bible study fellowship lesson daily.
This will entail me making time to do my bible study lesson daily and not waiting until Sunday night or Monday afternoon after school to do it. The layout of the lesson is in daily format for six days. They want you to do at least five or so minutes of the lesson daily and not do it all at once. I will try to do it for five or so minutes a day. Each week we get a new lesson so it is like we get to start fresh with a whole new week if we messed up of slipped the previous week.
Set aside a time to do a devotional.
Since i have to do my bsf lesson everyday, this will help me get in time to do a devotional as well. There are many avenues I can take for devotional time. I am signed up for the shereadstruth.com emails so that can be used as my devotional time. I also have the youversion.com app on my phone so that can be used for my devotional time as well. My church gives out daily bread books that have daily devotionals for three months. For each day there is a scripture to look up and there is a short story that helps make the scripture applicable to our lives. There is also a couple passages that people can read if they are trying to read the bible in a year.  My devotional time can also be just opening my bible and reading it which brings me to my next goal.
Read my bible daily.
I have set out to do my bsf lesson daily and my devotional time daily so this shouldn't be too hard.
Journal everyday.
This will help me keep track off my goals by writing out what I do each day and journaling what stands out to me in my bsf lesson time, or my devotional time or when I am reading my bible.
Clear my gmail inbox.
I have over a thousand emails in my inbox and over 200 unread messages. My goal is to clean out the junk in my inbox and read all of my unread messages. This will be a huge task but I am ready for it.
Drink more water.
Walk around the block every Friday.
Take more pictures to post on Facebook, instagram, and my blog.
Accomplish my blogger party.
This will include my blogging daily and keeping up with my blog.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There are many more things I could do but I will just leave it at what I have currently.
I did it
In my last post, I told you that I was reading some books and I was saying I hope to have them read by Thanksgiving.
Well, so far I have read one of my books so far which leaves five books left for me to read by Thanksgiving. I think having a time frame/deadline to read or to perform and task is fire under my butt that I need to get going and not just sit around doing nothing which I tend to do all to often.
Currently, I am reading The Inheritance by Louisa May Alcott.
I was inspired my a couple of blogs that I follow to set out to do my own month of fun blogging. So starting tomorrow, November 3, 2013. I will begin my own version of blogging daily. I will also purpose to accomplish a list of goals. These goals will not me set in stone, but they will encourage me to make good use of my time and not procrastinate or be lazy.
My goals may consist of eating healthy, drinking less soda/more water/other beverages besides water, read more, exercise more(I do not get much exercise so this will be more of actually exercising period not exercising more), do my bsf lesson everyday, and other goals which I will think of and post tomorrow.
Another goal may be to post more pictures which will require me actually taking more pictures.
Well that is all for now.
God bless
Jennifer
