Something to celebrate

I have come to the realization that I have had my blog for almost two years. I never thought I would have a blog, or that it would last this long. I guess it was a good idea after all. I hope I have brought glory in my posts and you have found something of interest in my blog.

Well just thought that I would share something to celebrate.

God bless to you all,
Jennifer

The city of Upland will be hosting it's annual Lemon Festival this weekend. April 26- 28, 2013. On Friday it will be from 3pm to 11pm. On Saturday it will be from 10 am to 11pm and finally on Sunday it will be from 10am to 8pm.

When Upland holds it's Lemon Festival, that means one thing in my opinion, Summer is on it's way and Lemon Idol!!!

Long time no see

It has been a long time since my last post.  I'm sorry I have not kept up to date with this. I hope you didn't miss me too much. Only thing that has happened since my last post was we moved. I believe my last post was the morning we started moving.

Moving went well or as can be expected when you are moving three people with almost 10 years of stuff plus old knick knacks that my grandma has of her sisters and her mother's. She has my great aunt's cedar chest, my grandma also has her own china plus china that was her ex husbands. The day we moved the weather was cool even though it rained which did not stop us because we wanted to move quick and not draw it out because we had to be out by the third of January. We did get out of course after almost four days of moving. We had alot of stuff and by the third day I was tired as was everyone else and I was so drained of moving. My sister, her husband, her kids, and my uncle helped us move. We had alot of trash. I would never dream of someone having that much trash unless they were a recovering hoarder. My uncle informed me that we filled up four dumpsters which was every dumpster in our apartment complex. The last night of cleaning and getting last minute stuff out, my uncle used his car and put the trash in his trunk and drove it to the dumpsters so it could go faster and we wouldn't have to walk back and forth which would have taken forever.

We put the trash on our patio and let me tell you it was not pretty. There were i don't know how many old recorded vhs tapes, i don't know how many old newspapers, a broken coffee table, an old white patio chair, and just plain trash, It was hard but we finally did get all the trash cleared out. Looking back I hope I never have as much trash as was on our patio. We also had alot of stuff go to good will. There was a box off old school papers of mine that got thrown away and looking back I wish I had taken the time to go through it and I hope that done of my old report cards were in that box.

It has been almost four months since we moved. I am enjoying our new place. I hope it is a long time before I ever  move again because I am completely burnt out on the idea of moving. I will help someone move but I refuse to do it again in the very near future. It is nice to have an actual door that works unlike my other one that would not close if you tighten the screws on the door knob and it is also nice to have four walls  and not get woken up when my grandma is doing the dishes, or getting ready for work. It is also nice to have our own pool, a backyard, and it is also nice that we don't have people who live above use who are always stomping around or making alot of noise. Another perk is not having to worry about fire inspections or inspections by the city, and it is nice to have more room to move around when my sister, brother-in-law, and niece and nephew come over.

I am loving our new place and I hope to be posting pictures in the very near future.

God Bless you all,
Jennifer
