Christmas

There is a week left until Christmas and you may be asking me Have you done or finished your Christmas shopping yet?

Well to answer your question...kind of.

I have gotten a majority of it done but I still need to buy something for my mom. It's nice to see presents under the tree. While it's nice to buy presents, receive presents, and see all of the Christmas decorations, we need to remember the true meaning of Christmas.

For God so loved the World that he gave his one and only son that whoever believes in him, shall not perish but have eternal life. -John 3:16

This verse explains the true meaning of Christmas. God sent his son to earth so that we may have eternal life. In order to have eternal life, we must believe in God. I believe in God but that is not all it takes to have eternal life. Jesus says that we must take up our cross and follow him. Taking up our cross means that we need to die to ourselves, which means that we need and must give up our own desires and wishes to allow God to have complete control.

We can have eternal life by asking God for forgiveness for the sins that we have done, believing that we have been saved, and commiting to following Jesus and allowing God's will in our lives.

Lately I have tried to give up control on my life and submit my life to God's will. It is difficult and I have not seen the results of my submission, but as I have often heard God is never late but right on time. I am completely open to God's timing in my life so it will take God's strength to get through the waiting and possibly more waiting and possibly disappointment.

Well that is all I wanted to say I hope you and your families have a great holiday season.

Merry Christmas,

Jennifer

Start of a New School Year

Like a few of you, I have started a new school year. I have started my second year of college at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga.

For more information about Chaffey College, go to http://www.chaffey.edu/.

Chaffey College is a great school and I'm excited to have started the new year. I have taken on a medium course load with four classes and three units each. It's alot better than the one class I was getting last fall semester and last spring semester. The classes I'm taking are Introduction to the Novel, Introduction to Computer Information Systems, Introduction to Psychology and Introduction to Philosophy. I'm hoping that I will be able to transfer to four-year university and major in Psychology.

My interest in this subject started my senior year of high school when I first took psychology. I love Psychology because I like learning how we think, and why we do what we do. I also like to help people so I feel like I can help people through being a counselor in Marriage and Family.

I'm really excited for this new semester and I hope I can keep my GPA of 4.0. I've never had a 4.0 so it's a huge deal for me.

If you would like to learn more about my career goals, Chaffey College, or have suggestions for my blog feel free to comment.

Me, Myself, and I

Hello!
My name is Jennifer. I'm 19 years old. I go to Chaffey College. I'm going into my second year. I absolutely love college.
I like watching t.v., going on the computer, hanging out with friends, shopping, listening, to music, and reading.
I go to Ontario First of the Nazarene. I've been going to Ontario Nazarene since I was about 4 years old. Ontario Nazarene is a great church and if you don't have a church that you regularly attend please come by, we'd be happy to have you.
I have a sister, Nikki, and she has two kids, Sean and Cheyenne. My sister is also engaged to her boyfriend of about 8 years, Michael. The date for their marriage is June 24,2012. I'm going to be the Maid of Honor and I'm so excited.
This is my first blog so if you have any suggestions on what you want me to talk about or questions please let me know.
Love you and God Bless,
Jennifer
